  1. My favorite fruit ambate kai so called hog plum! I have an anecdote to share. Even though this is a commonly seen fruit for me, I never bothered to look for its English name and never knew that it can be made into juice . When I was new in Singapore I used to see hog plum juice being sold in food courts. I tried it and it tasted sweet and sour. So I gathered courage and approached the shop keeper to ask the ingredients and she showed me our own ‘ambate kai’ ! People relish this here and buy too. Yes it is full of nutrients and the dishes are tasty too!
